Good to know
Questions people actually ask
- Why is a curie such a large number of becquerels?
- Because it was defined as the activity of one gram of radium: 3.7 × 10¹⁰ decays per second. A becquerel is a single decay per second, so everyday sources are quoted in kBq or MBq.
